We have worked with Acton Court for over 20 years, developing their brand and designing print, marketing and display materials, designing and managing their website.
Acton Court offers a rare example of 16th century royal state apartments, built by Nicholas Poyntz for a visit by Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn on their summer Progress of 1535. The house contains some decorations which are said to be the finest of their kind in England, and is mentioned in Wolf Hall.
The house and grounds open for a month each summer for self-guided tours and special events, which are booked online. Guides have recorded audio tours and Tuch created portable signage and interpretation graphics for the house and grounds to compliment the audio.
The interior graphics were printed on a canvas material stretched over timber frames and leant against the walls. We also produced interior and exterior lectern graphics. Display panels on the general history, flora and fauna, archeological finds and Poyntz family tree were produced for the entrance lobby.
We have worked closely with the client to redesign Acton Court’s website. Visitors can book places for tours and event tickets online during the summer opening season. We have provided the client with training to get the most out of their online presence.
The site also contains information on the history of the site, its discovery, conservation and ongoing preservation, and details and images of the events and tours from its summer openings since 2001.
The site has had a significant effect on the number of visitors, and increased interest in the house and grounds.
A 32 page brochure tells the history of Acton Court, its discovery and conservation. Leaflets, flyers, banners and advertising are produced for each opening season, along with a set of postcards.
